Global
Action is an opportunity for you to lay a foundation for your
future through in-depth, hands-on training and evangelism and to
use your abilities and experience in places where there may be
little Christian witness.
You could be part of a church-planting team in the Arab World or
helping in community development or relief work in Central Asia, or
encouraging local Christians in evangelism in Central Europe, or
using practical skills or professional experience (for example, as
a computer programmer, secretary, auto-mechanics or cook) to
support the ministry of those engaged in evangelism anywhere in the
OM world, or involved in any one of the 2000 opportunities for
training and service in more than 80 countries that OM will offer
in the next 5 years.
For some, Global Action will be the beginning of a career in full-time Christian service at home or overseas. For others, it will be the start of a life commitment to actively support world mission, whatever long-term career they go into.

The Global Action program that will train you and give you
opportunities for service. Global Action gives you in-depth,
hands-on training in Christian work. Here is your chance to use
your abilities and life experience in places where there may be
little Christian witness. You can specialise in one of three
teams:
Action
Evangelism:
Focus
on evangelism, especially among the people of the Middle East,
South and Central Asia and Europe, through creative outreach,
church planting, tentmaking, and Ships’ ministry.
Serve people with special needs by combining Christian work with practical help through development projects, work among the poor, and ministry to refugees.
Vital Support:
Increase OM’s global impact by joining an OM ‘home office’ resource team or a support team on the field. Serve through administration, secretarial work, financial development, accountancy, technical services, media, graphics, recruiting, and pastoral care.
Each team offers training that will provide a biblical foundation for personal growth and effective service. The training consists of three parts:
Orientation - preparation before you depart for the field, and immediately after you arrive
Study - based on eight core study modules used by OM internationally
Field - training for effective service through language study, ministry training, etc.
